A minor note of this was made in a previous post. Node 6 will be relocating to MochaHost. Data should be transfered, but only for clients which are presently in full compliance of our advertising policy. If you are not in full compliance of our advertising policy, your data will not be transfered, and we will not be keeping any backups. This is because of the tremendous effort involved in the transfer, a service which is being done as a favour to us, and we don’t want to overwhelm our new provider.

The new MochaHost server brings with them the following features (these are features which no other node has available at present):

  • JSP (Java Server Pages) support. Though I wont be able to help you with any coding questions, you may be able to find support on the forums.
  • Python support.
  • Django support (for Ruby on Rails.)
  • Subversion.
  • OpenPGP.

So definitely if you are on Node 6, place your advertising well. You don’t want to miss this opportunity.

Transfer will commence February 25th.
