Be Back Shortly June 22, 2010

For those who don’t know, the main website is hosted with VectorLevel to ensure it’s downtime does not overlap the downtime of the other servers, meaning you can still get support if your website is offline, which is when you need it most. It’s also smarter from a security standpoint to have the data physically separate from any client accounts.

For some reason, our website is now located at the IP 208.43.43.235. The migration email sent May 27th from VectorLevel mentioned these IPs, but no others:

ns1.vectorlevel.com – 216.245.213.77
ns2.vectorlevel.com – 76.191.115.132
ns3.vectorlevel.com – 38.106.195.146
ns4.vectorlevel.com – 93.189.4.190

It also mentioned:

We expect to begin the move tomorrow, May 28, 2010, starting after 9:00 p.m. PST. We expect to have the transition completed before the weekend is over.

Our site was working fine until sometime tonight. (Approximately 7:00 AM GMT – 7 based on our uptime monitoring softwares Montastic and Service Uptime.)

After checking all the above IPs, I have managed to deduce the correct IP address through the WHMCS panel. Our site should be back online shortly, as soon as the DNS is updated and the changes properly propagate to your computer. Depending on your network, this could take up to 48 hours to complete. Still awaiting an official explanation from VectorLevel.

No client websites should be affected by this, except new websites which will experience a temporary delay in setting up their domain properly.
