DNS Finished March 10, 2011

Posted by ismywebsite in general.

Alright, so you may notice that if you had a new SLD (yourname.ismywebsite.com) it’s now working. Also, the main site (ismywebsite.com) which was in the system now points correctly to the current server.

You should be able to use both TLDs 100% interchangeably. Though most links still direct to the .net.

This DNS system is fully partner-ready, so partners will be able to tap into the system and assign SLDs (yourname.yourdomain.com) of their own to their clients. That is once the registration gets finished, and the volunteer panel permissions to launch the partner system.

I transferred my site to v4.0 and it worked for a day, then stopped again. Now it does not work, as in the past 3 months. What is going on?

Problem solved.

If it’s the one linked from your name, that works completely fine for me. Anyone else have trouble?

It’s possible the problem to be in my computer/network but in the moment I write this, I still can’t access the above site nor the Control Panel. Tried ipconfig /dnsflush — no result.

It’s fine for me.
Matt – Check the IP Deny Manager.

Chrome says it’s in Bulgarian but it works for me.

My personal site, http://www.thestory.ismywebsite.com/ works but not the site hosted for my church, http://thewell.ismywebsite.com/ .

The church site primarily uses a .tk url but that shouldn’t prevent me from using the IMW url.

Hi Jason,

Yes there were some early problems with domains saved under a different format. The new website request form saved the domain in a different format that the DNS system didn’t recognize. It would have fixed if you had changed your domain name through the manual system. The DNS system has been modified to accept both formats and the source inconsistency been removed.
